Home is where the start is.
I am planting seeds for us to grow our tree house.
I am retiring from The Rolling Stones to protect our castle keep.
I am trying to become a lion instead of a mouse.
All these things I do because I want my wife to find me at my best…
Wherever she (may be).
The two of us have not yet met,
But she is on my mind;
So I am laying foundations for a future life.
Brick by brick, with every footstep,
I am creating a home;
So when I do eventually meet her,
I can say…this is what we own.
A place to live, which has a fridge, to hang the pictures on.
A bed to sleep in and imagine the two of us with band’s on.
Inscribed on mine will be your name
And if you wish, my name will be yours.
You are already on my mind.
Am I the same?
Am I your love?
If this is true then we should become.
One and one make one.
I have waited for a century to see the perfect sun.
You will shine on my darkness and brighten up my face.
When I am done,
I hope I will be at your side when you are older
And I am even more grey.
I have tried my whole life through,
To find somebody as good as you;
Someone who really does love me.
Still I try…I am yet to see.
Other people will want different things,
But all I want is to exchange rings.
I am only interested in my true love.
What kind of feeling does our love evoke?
If I am yours as you are mine,
Then we should put the love letters with the wine
And later we will see what we wrote…
Wedding bells will ring aloud, so everybody can see,
That I am in love with you;
Together forever, I hope we will be.
Women may try to change my mind,
But they are wasting all our time.
Only one woman can have my love,
So if another wants to be with me, I will reply:
I am in love with her and I’m sorry,
You are beautiful, but you ain’t that fine,
When compared to her true beauty.
If you are my one love, then pop the cork on the champagne!
If you want to marry me, then I will celebrate the best day
And if we can extend our time by leaving a lasting legacy,
I will make our love last for a life time;
I promise you Babe, you bring out the best in me.
With you I will have found my way home at last.
This is my pledge to you; I swear there is no turning back.
From now into eternity, I want you, to be with me.
You could see me happy (Extraordinary!)

Dont get too needy, you'll frighten prospective candidates away. Or is that a test to see if they have staying power.
These are my thoughts...
I do not tell a woman who is, or could be, interested in loving me that I write poetry until I know that, I want them to know that I write poetry. I am only interested in 'the Thunderbolt moment', when you realize this woman could be more than any other and with her I could share my soul.
It doesn't have to be the moment you meet the person, it can happen later when you get to know them better, but when it does happen, it is better than just thinking somebody looks good. It happened recently to me, but it was not meant to be, but one day I will meet the right woman and we will be together.
Here is my soul, I do not just show it to anyone.
I am busy trying to sort my life out at the moment, to get to the point that, when I do meet someone I could love, I will have everything in place to have a relationship that lasts. I have no more time for a love with no future. A one night, one month, six month relationship does not compare to the love I want. If they want me today and tomorrow they want someone else, then they will never know me.
I know what I want, anything less is nothing. If I can already see when the relationship will end, before it has even begun, then what is the point in starting that relationship? I want to change my life, not repeat what has already happened.
If they like me for the person I am, then they are the right person for me. If they like me just because they have read a poem I wrote, but never thought about me before that moment, then they are the wrong person for me. Without a mutual attraction, there is nothing.
I want someone who amazes me and if they want me too and they are single, then it will be.
I want a love that will last and if I see the possible relationship will not last long, I walk away. There are many beautiful women in the world, but there is only one I would marry and I have no idea who she is yet. When I meet her I will know.
My poetry is proof that I am serious about love. I have no more time for a love that just wants to waste my time and take away the time I should be spending being in love. When I want to show the right woman that I want to be with her, then she can read my poetry to see my soul.
