Unfinished Journey

poetboy123

Mountains of obstacles, but I’m ready to climb

Doubtlessly dooming myself to pain and death

Worth the loss, let the blood run clean, their crime

After all, you’re only ever living till your final breath

Living can be underrated, death could be worth so much more

Live life when facing death, expose every fraudulent war

Greedy hands have taken command of this world they’ve tore

Have a greater greed, a truthful need, to open up the door

Vultures flying high above

Stealing from those we loved

And lost

For others greed, they paid the cost

Embarking upon, what I consider an unfinished journey

Pushing through all doubts with a fierce sense of duty

Tear off your lions’ chains and roar out to the night

The hunter now to be hunted, get ready for this fight

Burn away their smoking ambition

Releasing your fiery passion

Rip apart the dark tomorrow

Paint a place we’ll want to go

On a boat that’s getting ready to sink

Envision a future, set paper to ink

Write a new chapter, let the words dance

To the music of victory, one final chance

Lions let out their roar, hear their call

Take your own destiny, refuse to fall

Go towards hope if you must crawl

Bring a close to this unfinished journey

"Lions let out their roar, hear their call
Take your own destiny, refuse to fall
Go towards hope if you must crawl
Bring a close to this unfinished journey"
I see a knight fighting to his last stand.
    Very well composed.
