Edward Charles McDevitt

"Worrying about the

conditions that I

have cause undue

stress while knowing

that worrying doesn't

change a thing."

  • Comment from author about the poem: I've been told over and over that even if I worry, it won't change a thing. It seems as if all I do is worry. Hopefully after seeing the Cardiologist on Monday this will all go away once and for all. Thank You everyone for all your concern as I go through this. I appreciate it more than you know!!!!

I wish you the best of luck and an incredible quote you've written here!

Poetboy, thanks for the comment. I do take things to heart. I treasure what people have to say and, I appreciate any and all comments...

Wishing you good news health-wise Edward - worry I agree does not change a thing.

Boy Fay, I've missed you so much. I miss your encouraging words and comments on my writes. Thanks for being there for me!

Oh I don't know. There's the (we trust) odd occasions of medical misdemeanours. But surely 99% is good. We use their services, go to doctors, hospitals, etc. They use highly-talented skills to help us.

That's struck me, that you said you take things to heart, with the info I've read of you from previous poems and comments.
It's a good heart you have. You know, when folk say 'He's a good man'! I pray it be healed in a physical and spiritual way - prayer and medicine going together. We can have both!
Maybe something of my recent 'comforting' poem may help? I don't believe in 'luck', but good wishes to you! That's my heart to you 🙂

I really like your comments that you make. When I'm finished here, I'm definitely going to read the poem of Comfort that you wrote. I appreciate you and all the encouragement you have given me. Thanks again!

This quote is surely a reminder to those consumed by anxiety that they are not alone. I wish only the best for your mental/emotional and physical wellness.

          • Edward Charles McDevitt

Maddie, thank you ever so much for your encouraging words. I know tomorrow is another day and hopefully, my write will be better. I hate having these feelings where I have something to say, but the words (even though there) just can't seem to make it to the site. Thanks again Maddie!

I hope all is well with your appointment. Yes worry does not change a thing but we must go forward with our lives.

            • Edward Charles McDevitt

Thanks Goldfinch! I'm going to try and do a write today. Not a quote, but a write of some kind...
