I want someone I can share my poems with
Late night, sitting on the bed passing a spliff
He'll gaze at me gently while I recite my lines
We both have work in the morning but won't care about the time
Because he'll just want to listen to my words and my rhymes
Most of the poems are about him but he says that's fine
it just lets him know that I'm proud that he's mine
He wouldn't care what they're about, he just wants to hear my voice
For when I share with him my poems he'll hear more than just noise
He hears me navigating the world with humility but poise
and that same young woman writing to fill a void.

I think a lot of us write to fill a void in our lives. I guess i do and i'm much much older than you. Other things come to mind in my void, i guess at your age you biggy number one is guys which is okay, but next up you'll be writing heartache blues. Thats okay though, get it out of your system. Always interesting to see a new writer with their own take, their own approach. Welcome!
