Writting

Tony36

Writting is such a joy to me

An emotional release

When my emotions are bottled up

I take pen in hand

To open the flood gates

My emotions pour out

upon the page

Spilling for all to see

Every

Joy and pain

Every

Loss and gain

In my life

On public display

The moment the ink dries we are open to scrutiny. But we take a chance anyway because our soul can't rest until we have captured our thought.

Great write, Tony. We all put our innermost feelings, our lives as you say, on public display through our writing. Sometimes it is scary, sometimes exhilarating, but show it we must!

Writing in here, MPS, I find to be a welcome release of emotions that I know are understood and well related to because all my readers are poetry writers too. But outside of MPS, no one knows of my writing. Well, except for my ex-best friend. He thought my writing poetry wasn't something "real guys" do. He would smirk whenever I mentioned my writing. So now, we no longer are friends. He's very immature and shallow. But here at MPS are the best friends a poet could ever ask for. You included Tony. Thanks for writing this. ; )
