Glass and Paper

skyebellasario

Hearts can't break,

They aren't glass.

Hearts can't be ripped apart,

They aren't paper.

Yet somehow mine shattered,

I knew that summers day we met

And the winter day we parted

That you had the power to make me feel

Anything.

Even if it was impossible.

WELCOME SKYEBELL ~ Thanks for your first Poem ~ Elegant in its Structure and interesting in its Subject ! Well written and spaced in modern free verse ! It has rhythm and is smooth to read and recite ! I have been IN & OUT of love for the past 17 years (since I was 17) so i can testify that my Heart has been wounded and bruised but NEVER BROKEN or TORN APART ! And YES I have been empowered and made a Better Man by each of my lady Friends including ANGELA (29) my current GF ! Please check my Poems ~ Yours BRIAN (UK)
