Numb, comfortably numb
Like buttons sown on as eyes on a knitted doll
Staring blankly, unseeing
Empty, unfocused and glazed
Unthinking, the mind is distant like a faraway shore
Unsatisfied, unhappy with the way life goes.
Unhopeful.
