Aint No Gun

Edthepoet

There aint no gun
That ever killed another

There aint no knife
That ever took a life

Aint no bomb
That tore his town apart

Aint no grenade
That blew her legs clean off

It's not the tools at his disposal
That see man come undone
It's the violence in his eyes
And the darkness in his heart.

Great piece. Without the interaction with man, the weapons remain inanimate and harmless.

Exactly, I tried to work 'inanimate' into the piece somewhere but it works better without being so obvious.

It worked great and I picked up easy enough.

Very good write and so true, it is always the person behind the weapon who is the killer.
