Something Stolen

Katy S.

you stole something from me.

pieces of me I can never get back,

and all the others after you

will try to rebuild me,

like the toys they

played with when they

were young.

we both know that

they can't replace the

things you took.

they can't fill the holes

you made.

you stole my fire.

you stole my existence.

and i pray to whatever

god you believe in

that it burns you

alive and

ruins you

like it has me.

I loved this. It saddens me in the best way that I can relate. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much. I'm glad but also sad you could relate.

Katy, yesterday's poem celebrated love, today it is all over already?
No matter what, today's poem is awesome. Great writing!
Can't wait to see what will happen next!

I myself, am not in love at the moment. I just felt that today's poem in contrast to yesterday's poem would show that love isn't always sunshine and happiness. I wanted to write something I knew someone could relate to. Thank you so much for your kind words!

I'm not much of a prayer but thank you Brian!
