Broken Pond

poetboy5454

Simple walk, peace in the air

Sun shined, sky seemed fair

Taking a moment to reflect on the past

Each moment I had faltered where I felt I should have gone fast

These feelings are blown away with the gale

Paralyzed in time, silence is my heart’s tale

Stand and watch and think

Inscribe it all with ink

Once lost, now truly found

To these words I find myself bound

Ready to take a leap, for an evolution

And the rain starts to pour

They may flow off, but they have touched my core

Lightning flashes and thunder booms

Past this chaos, the order still looms

In these rising waters, I truly feel alive

In these throes of conflict does my soul thrive
