Just Because

poetboy123

Darkness like crashing waves against the beach

Drifting us away from all the dream we try to reach

Failure a constant chain forever holding us back

A dooming reminder of everything we still lack

But just because the birds stopped singing, doesn’t mean their dead

And just because the sun hasn’t shined, doesn’t mean this rain will last forever

Scream out all your pain in the night, it won’t fade in the light

The despair we feel today can’t haunt our future endeavors

Rock-bottom and you can see this water rising higher

Forced to climb and fall, continue for you mustn’t tire

Remember the horrid bitterness of your defeat

Feel it heavy on your tongue, though realize victory shall be sweet

And just because you may think the world is falling apart

Each ending we encounter is an opportunity for a new start

Paint tomorrow with the tears of today

With this pen it is time to carve your way

Just because they all say it’s impossible, doesn’t mean we need to believe it too

Let our hopes and dreams magnify, let the naysayers become few

These challenges serve to train us further, another door to pass through

Just because it may seem impossible, doesn’t mean it has to be true
