every night I smelt the roses you gave to me
I cherished every leaf on them now I cherish every
Peddle that crumbles an falls
Back then I thought our true love would never end
Now its shattered glass so thin to walk on
I hated the pain you caused my heart
Now as I sit here alone an stare at the roses it makes me go insane knowing your gone
But then again its so sweet to know you faded away like a shadow in the wind
An no more pain causing my heart to bleed but you created my soul to stay in the dark
An that's alright as long as were apart ill sit on my swing with a nice little smirk

WELCOME NAT ~ Thanks for your first POEM an elegant write but a sad sad tale ! It happens to all of us ~ in LIFE & LOVE ~ one way and another ~ so we can emphasise as SUNFLOWERS has already indicated. ROSES always speak of LOVE but it is sad when the peddles fall and crumble. Things and relationships we once considered PERMANENT ~ become TRANSIENT and fade and die ! MEN always say "Better to have loved & lost than never to have loved at all" but it seems harder for Ladies. Thanks for sharing & caring ~ YOURS BRIAN (UK)
Thanks for taking the time,to read my,poem I look forward to sharing more,on here soon 🙂
