Chained

MereGolden

The Darkness has its hold on me

Every time I am set free and start to fly I am Visciously

tugged by its chain

I am Held Down by darkness

Sadness, guilt

It's so painful

I could break free if I cut My Wings, but I'd only fall on

my face attempting to fly away

Keep the wings and fix your gaze on the light. Nice expression. I'll mention NAMI for your readers who are standing on the cliff of genuine hopelessness.
