Yesterday I cried a thousand times
In my head, I became crippled by dread,
Because I am guilty of a thousand crimes
As I lie alone in my bed, a thousand tears I now have shed
A thousand kisses from your lips
A thousand movements with your hips
A thousand touches that were not mine
A thousand moments lost in time
A thousand promises I made I made then broke,
Yet you still believed me and held onto hope
A thousand times I said I love you
But I know it did not show, your piece of mind is not all I stole
For every lie a single cut, a thousand scars upon your soul
I left you with a thousand regrets,
And a thousand wrongs you must now forget
You must regret that I never knew what I truly mean to you
A thousand chances passed me by.
A thousand questions to find out why, to find some meaning before I die
A thousand prayers in a thousand shrines,
For a thousand sins God must forgive
I cried a thousand times, but a thousand loves I have yet to find,
And a thousand lives I have yet to live

This is really beautifully written. I can feel the emotion
WELCOME BECKY ~ Thanks for your First Poem ~ it is very elegant in its STRUCTURE but full of ANGST and REMORSE in its SUBJECT ! Why LOST LOVE ~ UNREQUITED LOVE ~ REJECTED LOVE ? ? ? Most of us can empathise on all these (34 and still single !) A T H O U S A N D is the right number ! Thinking of YOU ~ Yours BRIAN (UK)
Very interesting write. Good rhyming as well. I loved it. Keep up the good writing. Hope to see more from you. ❤ 💗 💕 😊
