All alone on this bench

DeeDee

All alone on this bench
Life goes around around me
But you are not part of it
Not anymore for you have gone
What brought together my heart and yours I don't know
We are made of moments that didn't happen and pictures that don't have proof.
We were there but not together
We loved but no one will know
We laughed but nobody saw it
Yet all those instants are impressed on a little remote corner of that young heart, for I'll never forget, I'll never let got of those smiles away from my eyes, what we haven't been and what we'll never be.
I thank you though, for getting me out of here, I thank you for showing me my true colours and my heart once more. I might not see it again, but at least it was a sweet goodbye...

Thanks Brian, this is my first in a long time and it was written in the spur of the moment....you are totally right and I’ll try to reflect this in my future ones. I shall have a look at yours 🙂
