Non-Iambic Sonnet #2 - A Glint of Steel for You

Lordjupitr

A Glint of Steel for You by Charlie O'Malley

I am no lowly, peasant farmer

Nay, I say. Nay!

I'll be your knight in shining armor

But never will you be saved

Because, my dear, I'm clumsy

I'm craven, and rather small

I'll run, screaming, to Mumsy

And leave, without you in tow

But you, you're independent

Nothing fills you with fear

When I said I loved you, I meant it

'Cuz that's why I love you, my dear

While I am timid, like a dove

You're ironclad will is what I love
