Alone but surrounded

ashcar110

What does it mean to be alone?
Is it standing alone in the darkness without a soul in sight?
No.
Being truly alone is to stand in a room of smiles, people at each side, grasping at nothing but the sadness within.
Having another set of ears to listen but words can't seem to come to mind. Reaching out with a subtle cry yet no one can seem to hear.
So here I sit, alone but surrounded.
