I don't believe what I believe

Poetic Dan

They say don't run before you can walk
But we are running before we could crawl

From that very moment you knew there was more
You just had to keep trying,  giving it your all

We have always be running on to the next move
As adventure is finding out what you can do

Now give it your all like you did at the start
Thinking it's even possible to touch the stars

As you should never hold back on what you know you can achieve

The only thing stopping us is what we believe.

Good advice, PD. The mind and belief come first, then everything else follows.
There is sometimes a problem though when you get older, when the mind says 'I can do that' and the body answers 'Are you kidding?'

    • Poetic Dan

Hahaha! Then I will have to enjoy that final performance that my body gives me.

We conceive, believe, then create. Your fine poem says it more eloquently, Dan. Well done!

Your prospective of eloquently has given me more pride to go on. Much appreciated

A compelling read Dan - we are certainly equipped to keep on trying to find the power inside .Love that last line.

Much appreciated Fay. Many we all find our power inside, I find it for a bit, it's just keeping it 😉

Good write. I do agree with Fred though, in my mind I am still thirty five but when I try to use this sixty nine year old body to try and do things the mind just laughs at me.

And laughter is the best kind of medicine. I shall take your advice and keep doing all the things that I do ;l
