She's "fine"

Bezza97

There was girl, that sat in the corner, about sixteen

When she laughed and smilled her face would gleem

From way back to when she was a young girl

She had that glisten in her eye just like a pearl

She always had that one a aspiration

Which was to make people happy, give out attention

To be someone who cared, instead of being fake

To be the one who always gave and never take

But as time went on, things started to change

Things she thought back then, really arent the same

She messed up her sweet life, just to fit the mould

For some friends who would leave her standing in the cold

Her biggest fear was being recjected

But in the end she'll always end up neglected

Posting pictures, that her mother would be vexed if she saw

Just for a 'like' from a boy that she once saw

She turned her self slowly into something she's not

Desprete for some random guys to tell her "youre hot"

But the attention she craved, never came through

And all the dreams she once wished, never came true

If you asked how she was, she would always say "fine"

But no one really knew, how she was slowly dying inside

She went out to parties and started drinking

But in her head, she really wasnt thinking

She started to sleep around, just to feel close

She was told not to by the ones who loved her the most

The thing is, she didnt know who really loved her

Because she was so caught up in all this popularity hunger

She was being manipulated by this thing called society

Causing all this pain, depression and anxiety

One night she thought "enough is enough"

That was the night she turned to drugs

She was sitting in a alley with a guy she met the other night

In her head this seemed perfectly alright

She finally got attention and started to feel loved

But what she didnt know her life was about to be shoved

It was to late to back out, his hands were already down her pants

He had his hand over her mouth so she couldnt shout

She laid their silently and still, wishing it would be over

Wishing she could go back to when she was younger

She realised all what she did was totally wrong

But she kept on thinking to herself she has to be strong

All of a sudden, there was nothing but silence

She opened her eyes to see nothing but darkness

She sat up and tried to compose herself from that ordel

But deep inside she knew what happend wont heal

She could see a dark figure slowly walking away in the distance

No one around to help, or give her some assistance

She limped back to a place she called her home

Which was only concrete floor which was hard as bone

She fell down crying, telling herslef little lies

That "everything will be fine" as she wiped her eyes

She looked to the left where she saw a sharp bladed knife

And that was the end to her messed up life

Very deep, definitely keep up writing whether it's stories or poems. Sometimes it's best to look within ourselves during the absence of happiness, as others can take advantage of it's loss. Looking forward the next ✌️

This is a very sensitive poem, and I think you are great with words- and should continue writing! Keep it up!
