Feelings in Twilight

she_was_torture

You filled my heart, made it whole. Poured joy into me like it was never going to run out. Then you ripped it out. Tore at it like a wild animal and made me watch. Then silence- that's all I could hear was silence. No heartbeat, no tears, no laughter- just endless silence.

Haven't stopped yet, but haven't gotten to the end. Stuck in the middle like I was being held in place by destiny. Constantly changing, but never terminating- my feelings are overflowing. Sometimes I fell happy that you did what you did, and other times I'm so mad and upset I want to quit. Quit everything- start over, but you hold my attention like a deer watching a hunter. Never fully turning away, but always cautious of what will happen next.

So what will happen? Will it be the end? or Will it be the start of the beginning?

Waiting...... and waiting for what's to come.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this poem because of the series of books that I am currently reading. I am reading Twilight, and at the time I wrote this poem- I was on the second book. My poem was inspired by the feelings I went through as reading one of Stephanie Meyers hit series. No offense against her writing- I absolutely love it, these were just some of my mood swings as I made my way through her mysterious novels. :) Hope you enjoy!
