Let’s just be kind
Death is coming after all of us.
Or more to say, coming toward us.
We are in a race with no chance to escape.
We have the illusion of inhaling more life,
Doing things in parallel not to miss a thing,
Telling ourselves stories of eternity or reincarnation or Eden.
We , little ants of universe,
cannot grasp – dis-appearance or not being.
NOT is not an option in our limited minds and our big egos.
Let’s just be kind
With empathy to our existential psycho-physiological situation.
From the minute we were pushed here… time clicks... click, click, click...
So play life your way,
But in any way, no way of accepting violence or manipulation,
of others’ ways.. of copying with the situation.
Let’s just be kind

Your poem depicts for me the despair engrained in the, "you only live once", doctrine promoted by certain control-oriented religions. What if life is a continuum, and rather than being "pushed" into it we chose to experience it? Just saying!
It hurts me to see the damage done to hope by the insidious doctrine reflected in your write, Avigail. Genuinely sorry if I've offended you. I had to get this off my chest.

you didnt offened me at all but surprised me.if you read my previous poems, you would know that i perceive continuation of internal wisdom energy. i can also share with you that i did connect to energies of my father and mother after their death. im not different then you or any other person in humanity. the fact is that we are all temporary here in this dimension, and then dis-appear. the reset is unknown. for instance the fact that i connected to energies of the dead, does not mean that they are aware , maybe i connected to a knowledge base of their being in the atmosphere?. so lets be modest and say... we dont know. that doe not contradict my poem - we are all crazy in deep levels of this unknown state of being and it affects us in many levels of conscious and unconscious ways on a personal, cultural, religious, scientific and social levels.
