Old Long Since

Jabberwocky

Take my hand for a while
And walk with me through fields sans dew
Where paths are worn by one alone
Where used to walk in grace we two.
Remember softly what it was
When we held hopes' horizons fond
Where now there is no light of dawn
And night obscures that deep beyond.
Darkness now inherit us
And take us down forever more
Beyond the loss of hopes light bond
That living lost and unfaith tore
Turn to me for old long since
And let me see remembrance there
Reflecting wan that light now gone
Resign myself to darkness bear
