Luther's Poem

neil haigh

There was a King who dreamed to walk hand in hand,

a noble speech of something grand.

A dream he had that very day,

that race hate crime would go away.

The dream he had didn't come to be,

for race hate crime came frequently.

It's now up to us to fulfil his dreams,

and put a stop to cries and screams.

It cannot be done-some people say,

so let's joins hands this very day.

Join and make Luther's dreams come true,

let us build and change people's points of view.

so bond our thoughts and one we'll be,

then crimes of hate we shall no longer see.

It may take a long time for Luther's dream to come true, all we can do is the best we can.
