For Bird Watchers
Be sure and check the little boxes
And record your sightings there
make note of birds you saw
And with your fellows always share
Use your trusty ID book
And all its pictures of
Use it for the sure ID
And of numbers do not fudge
Visit with your birding friends
And share your childlike thrill
Share the views from your spotting scopes
And shy birds do reveal
Enjoy your lunch time with each other
And all your stories too
Whistle some of the calls you know
And practice the ones brand new
Celebrate the birding day
And the birds that you have seen
Appreciate the guide you had
And your little birding team

Thanks O! I'm happy you enjoyed the poem.
Good write, I have been a birdwatchers for over 60 years and am still intrigued by our feathered friends.
Thanks Goldfinch! It's always nice to hear from a fellow birder.
