Reflections of a Stranger

Jaybirdy1

I look into the mirror

and there i see a man

Strangely so familiar

Yet so far from where i stand

I wish i could remember

Forgotten who i am

A ghost that haunts a body

Since the day its life began

Welcome JAY ~ Thanks for tour first poem ~ very true and something we can all empathise with. When I look in the mirror (especially before I've woken up I see my DAD who is 27 years older than me ! It make me groom up to face the World ! The other thing is none of us (especially Men) have a perfectly symmetrical face so what we see in the mirror (a reversed mirror image) looks nothing like we see in a photograph. Personally I would abolish all mirrors along with all mobiles phones ! Yours BRIAN (UK)

It's true that sometimes we can do things that made us wonder who we really are since that person is far from what we remember ourselves to be. Change is not always for the worst though! Sometimes in order to survive we need to make decisions we wouldnt otherwise.
