New World

M.E.M.

Make the world a better place

By stepping out of our bubbles of ignorance.

We take action,

instead of speaking it.

Facing our fears that we have to overcome.

The battle hasn't be won, it has just begun.

Take pride in the actions you pursue.

Never look to the past; always to the future.

Don’t let others get in the way of you progressing forward.

Hope is glowing like an ember in the dark,

it just needs a little spark.

Every new generation should take a step forward.

Following the footsteps of ancestors but never retrace them.

Because they are the ones who led us here.

M.E.M. your excellent poem shows A LOT of maturity. It would be great if every young person would think like that and take your great poem to heart. I am only sad about what kind of world we, the older generation, are leaving for you.
