Delight

Delight

 Nature whispers

 Its secrets to me;

I Listen,

As blades of grass

Sway with the wind

As stillness organizes

As red berries fill the trees

In preparation for autumn’s leaves

As birds assemble

To decide a flight plan

As the new buds sing

Spring is here

As snowflakes gather

On your window sill

As rainfall taps

A tune on the roof

As lavender infuses

Its perfume at dusk

As you and I

Become still

Become aware

We are one
