I am so lost

Birddie Jane

I am so lost

And deeply confused

How could I miss someone

I probably never knew

I cry deep hiccupping sobs

Because I feel I’ve lost you

And yet I can’t remember what you look like

And I don’t know your name

Or where you even are

I morn over you

As if you are gone

And I love you

As if I spent a life time knowing you

I pray that you knew me

Treasuring the short time you had me

And that you love me and wish to find me

It is so confusing

Growing up knowing

That I have another family

Wondering if I will ever know them

And if they still think about me

There is no closure

Only more questions

Like if you miss me

And if you are as lost as me
