Nothing to Hide

rrodriguez

As I’ve laid in bed without sleep,

Many times I’ve wanted to weep.

I’ve long to follow the birds in flight,

To escape from my awful plight.

I’ve felt an urge inside

To stray somewhere;

Far, far doesn’t matter where,

Where I have nothing to hide.

    You don't have to hide from judgment here on MPS. This is a judgment free zone. But excellent writing.

    Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is what I mean. My inner self. Who I don't want to be. Thank you for you comment.

    Your poem is so well written, and I think there are times in everybody's life where we just want to get away. Unfortunately, it is usually not the solution since somehow the past always sneaks up on us again.
    Great poem! Kudos

              Good write, that inner self is difficult to be released from but within that inner self is the wonder of a better life.

                Thank you for your comment. I agree that it is difficult to be released from the inner self. The apostle Paul talks about this struggle in Corinthians. Thank you for your comment. Be blessed.
