Just one word a day
I will have become richer by next winter
with words to cheer, challenge and amuse
all attention at my disposal
shadows of more elusive words taunt me of their existence
the sparkle in my eyes and parting lips
expressions cherished inside but never spoken
it is my fondest wish, urgent desire -
to channel consciousness
But I am contained in a speechless pressure cooker
take off the lid or witness my spontaneous combustion

Nuna, the words won't do justice to this fine written piece. Be blessed!
WELCOME NUNA ~ Thanks for your first Poem ~ very philosophical ! The definition of MODERN POETRY is: Any number of WORDS written in any order ~ without any constraint of Rhyme ~ Rhythm & Reason or 20th C straight jacket of Grammar or Spelling ~ AMEN. So NUNA ~ take the lid off your Pressure Cooker ~ release the Poem ~ and we will all love it because MPS is a very empathetic site ! Thanks for caring & sharing ! Yours BRIAN (UK) Please check my Poems ~ Thanks B.
