I'm in pain, my heart hurts. Yes it's cause of a boy. And yes I was stupid to believe him. No this is not something new to you or me. I thought this guy was different. And I thought I was smarter. I have been taught that lying is the norm. Cheating is the standard. But I'm supposed to have hope that things will get better and that true love exists all while being just me.

Welcome FRIEND ~ Thanks for your first Poem ~ Very poignant ! You paint a sad picture of how Life and Love appears to a lovely Young Lady in the 21st C ! LYING is the norm ~ CHEATING is the standard ~ I never behave like that ! like all Young Men I have loved and lost several times ~ but there has never been any animosity and each Girl Friend has taught me something and I her.
