I read the paper the other week, it featured a man with only one limb, his future looked bleak
It tugged at my heart strings...
This poor bloke had his benefits took away and there's nothing anyone could do to help
In this life you haven't got much choice, you have to play the hand you are dealt
He'd been born this way, he wasn't to blame but the Tory government looked down on him all the same
Up until now he'd been deemed unfit to work, but the Tory government took away his only lifes perk
He'd had a car specially designed for his disability, but the government was determined to take away his dignity
Some will call me a leftist or a Corbinite but I don't care...
Seeing right from wrong is as clear as the difference between night and day
The wealthiest caused the recession, but who has to pay? Austerity, and benefit caps are not the way
Punishing the most vulnerable is how they attempt to reduce the deficit, while bankers still get healthy bonuses
I'm sick to the back teeth of it!
I have a relative and their son he had cancer. The NHS saved his life and still they think the Conservite vote is the answer
I know I'm not normal but I have my moments of clarity
Surely voting for a government that chooses to starve the NHS is insanity!
Immigration, benifts cheats, and terror attacks on our capital
Has caused panick, fear, and opinions to be irrational
Think about if the shoe was on the other foot, how would you feel?
A Tory government taking away your dignity and your right to a hot meal
Take a moment, to think about who you want representing you in local council seat
Don't be fooled by the Tory tabloids, their lies, double standards, treachery and deceit

- Comment from author about the poem: I have nothing against people who vote Conservative despite their political handicap, but the fact is that these benefit cuts happened under a Tory government and I think it's diabolical

Very true write syd, the politicians are only in politics to see what they can get out of it. They are destroying the people who are struggling in the UK.
Definitely Goldfinch, I agree
Hi Hood,
I'm glad the positivity in this poem cheered up your depressing day lol!
