Afraid

     when you find the right one

you know it in your heart and mind 

your heart tells you to love him

he's good for you

     Your mind on the other hand 

Brings in your damn anxiety

That damn anxiety brings you down

Makes you feel scared and worried

     "Baby girl, don't worry im here"

"Baby im not leaving you"

"Babe don't worry i love you"

"Baby girl don't worry about us"

     These are comforting at first

but when we're alone our thoughts

they tell you otherwise 

these fears keep you company

     But they hold you down

they beat you you till you can't stand it

when you cry yourself to sleep 

you cry silently and whit no tears 

     you don't tell anyone

because it makes you feel stupid

if and when you do 

it's him all him 

     He's your human diary

He's there for you

but your damn anxiety

drags you down

     you feel as if 

you're not a good girlfriend 

you think he could do better

but you fight the thoughts 

     you fight these horrible thoughts 

the thoughts that keep you up at night 

now taken over by memories 

memories he's made and given you
