The Horizon

AlanMoore

It all hurts,

My life is changing

more and more,

I look to the door

And hope joy and love

are on the other side,

Along with you,

And an apology at your side,

You want me to want what’s best for you,

But one day I hope,

you’ll see your selfishness too

It’s not worth it to you,

to suffer half the year,

And feel like I don’t hold you close

And hold you near,

Four years of battling the distance

isn’t worth it to you?

You said it yourself,

When are we getting married my love?

But something changed,

You lost hope,

And now I paddle alone

in a small lifeboat

In the middle of the ocean is where I float

Searching for you on the horizon
