after storm

Frank Prem

beyond the yester rain
is a mist
that stills the now
and constrains the thought
that would be loud
to merest whisper

a susser with a trailing touch
suggestion
yet not tempest

within the thickened hush
an embodiment of shiver
moves
a linger
from the storm that was

but the sun will burn
the wisps will rise
and rise
to begin again

beyond the remnant shiver
begins new day

Had to look up susser and I'm none the wiser but it doesn't matter - it sits so well in this great work.

      • Frank Prem

Think I made it up Michael - out of susseration, I think. Glad you liked it despite untraceable references.

Reminds me of a line from a song, in 'Annie' I believe ... "The sun will come out tomorrow". Good write on passing through bad times, Frank!
