You caught me
Quite by surprise
When “Hi” you softly said
And I fell into your eyes
Maybe it’s my imagination
But in your eyes I thought I saw
A sparkle of light
That left me in total awe
In that brief moment
I felt your touch upon my heart
And there you left
Your own beautiful art
Do I believe my own rational?
Where I typically doubt myself
Or can I afford to
Jump down from that lonely shelf
Is it wishful thinking
That makes me dream of you
That my prayers to God
Have been answered by you
Guess I’m left to just my prayers
That the sparkle in your eyes
Is really just for me
Giving a wink to the skies

A fine write AP. It's said: 'A house may have lights on, but there may be no-one at home'. Same as if we may look into some people's eyes. Am I 'at home', or am I emotionless? Am I made of wood, like some actors?! heehee.
I have a naughty version too. Can't tell it publicly, or I will make myself swoon! lol.
To swoon, or not to swoon? That is the question. And true of some people's eyes, much or not to be seen.
I never knew you thought of me like this or was it from an accidental poet who was so swooned up in love he lost his way? a beautiful write, AP.
Kevin, you're starting to sound like orchi. Thanks for reading Kevin. Glad you enjoyed it.
Bless me.
Thank you Accidental Poet.
Beautiful, simply beautiful.
The eyes are powerful - they are the window to one's soul.
Keep writing

Thank you FineB for reading and your gracious compliment.
A touching piece AP
Thanks Michael. But I admit, an imaginary piece.
Very good write, that sparkle shows you the way to somebodies/everybody’s heart.
Thanks Andy. Glad you like it.
It is amazing how much the eyes can tell, or how much we can read in them. Very beautifully said, AP!
Thanks Fred. I appreciate the compliment.
Beautiful poem, AP! You can tell so much by looking into someone's eyes, it can be such a magical moment. You really captured that moment well in this poem!
Thank you Christina.
