Roaming

KoKoRosie

Walking down the street in my ones, tryna figure out what the hell I've become.

Tryna be the best I can be for we; wondering what the hell that even means to me.

They say have Self-Respect when you wake but fail to mention how much it's gonna take.

When will I find a place to lay my dome, somewhere to forever call a home?

To roam I no longer have the need, but a plea to be as free as the sea.

To be free of stress and neglect - to have a place to nest like all the rest.

WELCOME KO KO (GREAT NAME) Thanks for your first Poem "A Wanderer long for a niche !" When I was Young (under 25) I roamed free and took my chance with Lie & Love ! Now I'm 30+ I have my own FLAT a regular Lady Friend (ANGELA) and (at last) a Job with tenure ! I've dropped my ANCHOR ~ but I often pull it up and become as free as the Sea again ! Thinking of you and praying you will find your NEST real soon ! Love DENVER and the Aspens in Colorado ~ in the Fall ~ are a glimpse of Heaven ~ Great State to be in ! Yours BRIAN (UK)

Well written, KRM! It is not always easy to find oneself, and/or the place one wants to put down roots. I emigrated twice in my life (Switzerland / Canada / Hawaii), but have been here now for over 30 years. So, do not despair, take life as it comes, and sooner or later you will find that very special person/place where you want to be. 🙂

Thanks Fred! Sounds like you've seen some things! I think searching and waiting are fun but it gets old after a bit. Hopefully sooner rather than later. 🙂
