Tune and Hymn Name: 'Eternal Light! Eternal Light!'

********

O light uncreated, you be

Everlasting and free

Surpassing all created light

Dispelling all the dark of night

Shine in my heart true, bright

Pour forth from heaven, glorious rays

Taste of eternal days

Pierce depths of my heart, purify

Gladden, lighten me, be you nigh

I to you fervent cry

Quicken powers of my spirit

With your light be it lit

So may my spirit hold to you

With joy unspeakable anew

You only good and true

I long for you, that final hour

When by your grace you shower

The fullness of your presence on

Me, ever, image of your Son

Glories compared to none

That shall be my full destiny

To full of your joy be

Yet while here still in earths abode

Thankful for graces here bestowed

You share my burden, load

Come near, help me, you dwell within

Me, guard, keep me from sin

Help me draw on your Spirit's power

For I do need Him every hour

He my refuge and tower

'Til my soul, spirit, sure shall soar

To your rest evermore

Then light perpetual I shall know

All I ever wished here below

Your love it shall bestow

Thanks Kevin. Steven here lol. Andy is Goldfinch! I've taken poetic phrases from the author's original prayers. He waxes very eloquent at times.

sorry, Steven, I'm a bit dum sometimes because my mind is always has a million things running through it. And well done for your practice. it read and sounded well.
