Nature's Healing

Jeremy Leach

Lush green of summer
Lazy old river
Water's steady flow
Mother nature's giver

Deep breath of life
Music from the soul
Eyes of the young
Never growing old

Ripples on the water
Reflections looking in
Senses all alive
Smiling child within

I'm not alone in posting about summer today - this is a great piece and I wonder why so few write about what is around us instead of their tortured souls. Super write Jeremy.

Thanks Michael. That's very true and food for thought. Being a bit of a techie I'm starting to realise as I get older that there is no match for nature on many levels and although creating and making is good it's also good to stop and appreciate the amazing things already around us.

Really nice poem Jeremy. I'm missing my summer already. But...the older we get, the faster the hour glass "seems" to flow.
