Confetti

Confetti

She watched it fall from the sky,

Her love so powerful it could melt the darkest skies,

The Sun bow to her every word and yields to every motion,

In her world, she is a God,

Sadness does not,

exist in her dimension,

She laid there with a deep breath,

Watching the stars fall from heaven,

Counting each one on her hand,

Waiting for the perfect one to collide in a cylinder of dust,

And when it did, she watched the confetti fall again,

Her eyes widen in bliss and her heart did not feel heavy anymore,

Her body so light and ready to release,

She kissed the stars goodnight and told the moon I adore you,

She waited till the last of the confetti dropped from her beloved sky,

And closed her eyes waiting for the next night to arrive,

For she can again, share with the moon and stars secrets to each other.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem inspired me to write, when I was little and still to this current day, I stay up late often looking out to the stars when I can't sleep, my mind is like a machine very hard to turn off sometimes, I do most of my thinking late at night. It symbolizes all my secrets I've told the stars and moon at night. It may sound silly, but I was something I've always done since I was little, It brings me peace when I can say how I feel and knowing that no one will ever know what I feel just me and the moon and stars holding each other's secrets. Hope you enjoy it. Feel free to give me feedback I love to improve myself in my writing.

Very beautiful poem Confia. So is this something you wrote, or someone else? I see this as you offering up your secrets to the moon and stars, and the confetti is their replies to you as inspirational ideas for you to write of. Excellent write. Thanks for sharing.

I wrote this, I refer to the moon and stars as a past time and current, something I still do, Talk to the moon and stars. I feel like it's my escape to say anything I want to say and they will listen to any thought I may have or worry and keep my secrets.

That's a very interesting way of thinking of the moon and stars. I like that. It's a beautiful write.
