But sometimes the silence is worse
The moment between us being apart,
And us having a conversation
That moment when we are simply
Not talking
That moment when
your gaze meets mine
But neither of us say a word
At first I think it's pleasurable
The careful concoction of feelings
The butterflies in my stomach
The glisten in my eyes
My muscles tightening
My whole body reacting
Violently and passionately
But then I feel the pain
The insidious heartache
Because I'll fall out of my thoughts
And see that you,
You,
Seem completely,
Utterly
Fine.

A lovely poem. I like to use the word concoction in my poems so i like how u used it. The butterflies in stomach, yeh time old luv feel. Thumbs up young poetess.
Do pls comment my latest poem too.
I used concoction way to much in my poems, it’s such an interesting word.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I’ll definitely check out your poems!
Ellie this a delightful poem written honestly without the use of pretentious language - it really speaks - great work and from someone so young - hope to see more of your work over time. .
Ellie - I have just read your previous postings and they are of equal merit. Also one was written from imagination - now that is a sign of a true poet.
Wow, you have no idea how much that means to me. I love writing and to get feedback like this really makes my day. Thank you so much!
