How quickly time has past
Smile for the moment we share
Blink, and it’s gone so fast
Yes, time waits for no one
It continues on with or without you
Each day, a new inspiring dawn
Don’t live your life in haste
Remember what Bonnie said
“Life gets mighty precious
When there’s less of it to waste”
Live each new day
Without worry of the shadow you cast
Trust God will help you find your way
Fear not the uncertain future
You’ll not change the past
Today you’re just a present day commuter
Do not forsake tomorrow
With the results from yesterday
Start today a quest to let go of all your sorrow
For a new sunrise awaits you
Greet the morning light with a smile in your heart
And let time awaken your life pleasures anew

Thank you, AP, for a very uplifting and positive outlook on life. Now all we have to do is live accordingly.
Thank you Fred for reading, listening and complimenting.
My first read of the day!
Beautiful way to start my
day! Inspirational like a
morning prayer. Sometimes
we forget how fast time goes by and not reflect of what is and what may be! Thank you for the clip! Enjoyed listening to Bonnieās song! Have a glorious day!

Thank you Laura for choosing my poem for your first read of the day. Glad you enjoyed the poem and Bonnie Raitt's song. My day was rainy all day, but that's ok. Hope yours was nice.

A.P,
Very beautiful poem, I love how you balance the good and what to be thankful for. Thank you yet again another good write.
Thank you Confia. I try to see it from all sides. And you're welcome.
A fine write AP. Time with sherry is never time mis-spent, so I say! heehee.
Are you sure orchi? That all depends on how many glasses of sherry you've had. Tell me, how many fingers do I have up on how many hands?
Enjoyed the clip and enjoyed the poem - thanks for posting.
Thanks Michael, I'm glad you enjoyed them.

Time is a rare and precious commodity.
I love the Bonnie Raitt video accompanying your poem.

Thank you FineB. Glad you enjoyed.
how much time have I wasted on looking back and predicting future, now I try to remind myself to focus now. Thank you AP.
Thanks for reading m&m. I think the past, present and future all deserve our attention for what they offer. But the present should be the main focus.
Good write AP and very true, always look ahead and grab each moment that comes to you.
Yes Andy, the present is ever moving to the future. Miss even just a moment, and to the past it's gone. Thanks for reading.
