Poetry Is (II)

Poetry is
The nectar of the pen
The vessel of ambrosia
The decanter of spirits
~Laura~

Poetry is
That which pulls upon you
From deep inside
To express your beautiful view

Poetry is
the avenue for
our imagination
to stroll upon

poetry is a reflection ,
of your heart and soul, the feeling that you hold.
hold deep inside, and transferred to a poets pen,
to paint the feelings you hold with in...
ron parrish, wish you a merry christmas

Poetry is my liberation
Naked in all my glory
To hold nothing back
Paying it forward

MODERN POETRY IS WORDS
WORDS in any order and devoid of
Rhyme ~ Rhythm ~ Repetition or Reason
BUT sometimes it's passion eclipses Shakespeare !
************************************************
That which breaks the RULES is always SUPERIOR to them !

Poetry is

LOVE IS
IN MUSIC BUT
IT IS ALSO IN POETRY
MUSIC IS THE FOOD OF LOVE
BUT POETRY IS THE LIQUID OF LOVE
MUSIC FEEDS ~ BUT ~ POETRY INTOXICATES

*************************************************
NINE LOVELY POEMS FOR LAURA ~ PLEASE ADD SIX TO COMPLETE !

Poetry is A dip in the ink of my imagination
An adventure away from a bad situation
A love letter to my inspiration
Poetry is a matter of the heart and a deviation

Poetry is
The expression of the mind,
An escape from reality,
It encases the mind like a vine,
Growing flowers and thorns to bind.
Poetry is entwined in the hearts of some,
A permanent piece of them,
It sticks to them like gum.
It doesn't matter where you're from,
Poetry is everywhere.

Poetry Is. Yes, indeed, Poetry Is all
around, everywhere at once, omnipotent
Universal, undying, everlasting, a God send
a gift, a joy, an alarm clock, waking poets up
At all hours to write, keeping sleep from the
door until a line is completed...
**
May I dream you something courtly?
May I sketch a kindly world?
May I soothe the bruise of loneliness?
May I love you darling girl?
May I cool your brow with kisses
May I heal your wounded heart
May I take you in my arms and say?
'May I be the man you want?'
May I make your bed at nightfall?
May I fluff your pillows up?
May I lay you down in slumber?
May I watch 'til you wake up?
Poetry Is: often frustrating but always
very, very, satisfying. Joe
