Playgrounds

Shadowbox15

A playground on a sunny day

Is a child’s heart fulfilled.

It is the place where youthful

Laughter

Echoes off the earth and sky.

A hollow playground on rainy morn

Is a memory of children’s fun.

Where spacious desire for

Childish games are what fill

It’s empty bones.

Thanks SHADOW ~ Lovely poem that brought back many memories of "Playgrounds in the SUN" In the UK we have excellent Playgrounds in all our Primary Schools ~ Villages and Parks with swings and slides etc. In our Secondary Schools we have Playing Fields and Tennis Courts etc ! I love CANADA and the Canadians ~ you have so much space ! I have visited Vancouver ~ Jasper ~ Banf ~ Calgary also Niagara (Horseshoe Falls) and Toronto also Grand Manan Island ! At night I always have hot milk with Canadian Maple Syrup ~ beautiful ~ The structure of your poem was excellent ! Yours Brian (UK)

loved the transitive nature of this write . From the young child's enjoyment to the elder child's reflections and enjoyment of memories...another well thought out provoking poem
