Forced decisions

AngieJewell

All the decisions I feel forced to make in life and love to me seem fake.

I make all these decisions to please everyone else.

Only I'll find in the end I have forgotten myself.

Do I mean nothing in this war I must win.

If I make too many mistakes will life let me

Try again....

WELCOME ANGIE ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ which gives us much food for thought ! In some sense we are all "crowd pleasers" so we all make decisions to please our Families ~ Friends & Employers. In the UK most Firms have a dress code and more importantly a conduct code and our Families all have foibles and also our Friends ~ We make choices to please them not ourselves ~ as you point out. Of course you matter (we all do) and the message your awesome visual sends to me is CARPE DIEM (Seize the Day !) Sunset closes one day (its over let it go !) and Sunrise starts another ! Let the MISTAKES of yesterday die with the day ~ and start with a clean slate tomorrow. In my experience LIFE forgives all my mistakes ~ so I forget about them ~ and TOMORROW ~ I will try again to improve etc. Hope this helps ~ thanks for sharing ~ Yours BRIAN (UK) Please check my Poems ~ Thanks B.
