Serving Serenity

Tune: Lobe Den Herren = Praise the Lord

('Praise to the Lord, the Almighty')

Psalm 119 v.73-80

********

Your hands, O LORD, have made me

And have fashioned me, I see

Give me understanding

That I learn your commands, each thing

They that fear you

Will be glad when they anew

See me, I hope in your word true

I know, LORD, your judgements

Are right, and are of wise, good sense

And I know that 'tis sure

In faithfulness you afflict, for

To chasten me

In your plan, purpose it be

That your will and mine do agree

Let, I pray your mercies

And kindness for my comfort be

According to your word

To your servant, I it have heard

Mercies tender

Come to me, to me render

That I may live, your grace confer

For your law it be here

My delight, I serve you with fear

Let the proud be ashamed

They care not, nor have they you named

They dealt perverse

Without a cause through life's verse

Only going from bad to worse

But I will meditate

In your precepts, and not be late

Let those that fear you

And know your testimonies true

Turn unto me

That my servant heart they see

And unto you for refuge flee

Let my heart be sound in

Your statutes, your Spirit within

Teach me and guide me here

That I obedient you fear

So I no shame

Shall have, for I know your name

Faithful LORD, for ever the same
