Dead eyes are shining
Brightly in the lagoon.
Diamond teeth are sparkling
With the intent to kill.
Reflecting,
everything above
stirring
in its waters
looking
two black eyes
waiting
for a victim
thirsty
reaching down
drinking
jaws snatching
thrashing
now silence
still
the water
stained
with the victims blood.
.
Michael Edwards
The water
pools away
trickles away
and is gone.
The victim
a forgotten nobody
Known by none
was never there
is gone.
