Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Its Off To Work I Go.

Wallace

Dawn awakes me.

I brew black tea.

Outside looks calm.

Toast brown bread and cover in jam.

Pet cat meows, stray dog barks.

A peaceful sound comes from tweet tweeting larks.

Drink my tea and eat my toast.

Floating by i see the family ghost.

To it i wave.

For attention it does always crave.

Freshen my body and then it i dress.

I need a barber my hair looks a mess.

Leave the safety of my humble abode.

My mental state i change to work mode.

To you all i have no more to say.

For sure i know you don't want to hear about my mundane work day.

Good write. Before I retired I too used to put on my'work mask' when I went out of the door.
