Seven Deadly Sins- Envy

Izzi Lynn

what you cannot have, you want.
you crave it, crave what you are missing.
you hear, "the grass is only greener on the other side,"
and understand it only literally.
Green eyes, Green eyes,
what you have will never be enough.
you are wingless and wanting all you cannot have
as your feet burn beneath you.
nothing is as sweet as it looks,
still, you desire.

I am grateful to GOD for who I am ~ where I am ~ the People I'm with and my extended Family ~ I am a contented Man ~ AMEN Yours BRIAN (UK)
