Seven Deadly Sins- Envy

Izzi Lynn

what you cannot have, you want.
you crave it, crave what you are missing.
you hear, "the grass is only greener on the other side,"
and understand it only literally.
Green eyes, Green eyes,
what you have will never be enough.
you are wingless and wanting all you cannot have
as your feet burn beneath you.
nothing is as sweet as it looks,
still, you desire.

THANKS IZZY ~ Another Great ODE ~ this time "TO ENVY" The GOOD BOOK says we should be CONTENTED with the Hand that Life has dealt us. Because I live in England and have a Flat ~ a Car ~ a Job I enjoy ~ Good Health "An active Mind in a Healthy Body" no debts and no addictions and a very nice GF (ANGELA) etc etc I am not Envious and I have much more than most people my age in this Planet ! I can only live one life ~ have one "Special GF" ~ one job ~ one car ~ one Place to live in ~ SO I COUNT MY BLESSINGS ! I am grateful to GOD for who I am ~ where I am ~ the People I'm with and my extended Family ~ I am a contented Man ~ AMEN Yours BRIAN (UK)
