Christmas Eve As Is

Jabberwocky

Silent night
Holy night
All is calm
And I'm alright.
I kiss their heads
And tuck them in
They're eager for
What day will bring.
I close the door
The light is out
I lay the presents
All about.
Myself alone
surveys the scene,
I think a thought
of might have been.
There's one last light
That's burning dim
To douse good night;
Let joy begin.
